How does Stock Chart Wizard create charts?

Stock Chart Wizard downloads data on the charts you request from Yahoo!.  It then uses the data to draw charts and indicators.  This data is freely available by Yahoo!.

All quotes in the watch window are delayed quotes that can be downloaded from Yahoo!

How can I view stocks for my country?

Enter in the stock symbol just as required by Yahoo!

Does the chart reflect the latest quotes?

Stock Chart Wizard updates the chart based upon both historical data and the most recent quote.  Quotes are 20 minutes delayed.

Can I overlay an index or other stock chart on a viewed chart?

You can overlay a comparison chart the shows comparable performance of another stock or index.  It does this by "normalizing" the stock or index against the stock or index displayed by the current chart.  This gives you a graphical representation of how comparable stock or index performed in comparison to the stock or index being displayed in the chart.

To activate the feature, select Charts then Preferences.  Then activate the Moving Averages tab.  Next to "Compare to Symbol" enter the stock or index symbol.  Then on the Charts tab make sure the box next to "Compare" is checked.

How do I delete charts that are displayed?

Under the "File" menu, select "Close Chart."  To delete charts from the system so they are not updated, delete them from your Stock Chart Wizard folder ("stk" files, e.g. ibm.stk).

How do I display market indices like NASDAQ, Dow Jones Industrials, etc.?

Make sure to open the readme.txt file in your Stock Chart Wizard directory for details on how to do this.

How do I sort the symbols in the watch list?

Simply click on the column header of the column you wish to sort.  For example, to sort the symbols in your watch list, click on the word "Symbol" in the Watch Window.

How do I delete symbols from a watch list?

Click on the symbol and press on the delete key, leaving the cell blank.
